Meet your wedding cake designer!

Hey there, that’s me - Bianca Branche, the face behind Beez Cakes.

I am also the wedding cake designer who personally bakes, decorates, delivers and sets up your wedding cake.

Since 2013, I have been designing and creating classic and elegant wedding cakes for couples who want to make their big day truly special.

I have always loved creating and being creative, and from an early age I enjoyed illustrating my favourite books and experimenting with paint - especially acrylic and watercolours. I decided after leaving school that I wanted to pursue a career in Graphic Design.

Like many, baking started off as a hobby. I enjoyed making and eating desserts, for myself, but also took great pleasure in making desserts for others. So how did I switch from wanting to be a graphic designer to becoming a wedding cake designer? The seed was sown when I had the privilege of creating a friend’s wedding cake. It was a steep learning curve, but I thoroughly enjoyed the process and the final result. I quickly realised soon after that, that I could combine the things I love into one productive business. Thus Beez Cakes was born.

I started Beez Cakes as a self-taught baker with no formal training. Since making the decision to start my own cake business, I have enrolled on various cake decorating courses, followed numerous tutorials, researched recipes, practiced and tweaked them and subscribed to mentorship programmes. All of this with the intention of being the best at what I do, and delivering the best to those who expect it.

I am always eager to learn new techniques and improving my skills so that I can continue to offer couples classic and elegant looking wedding cakes.

Achievements & Aspirations

Thanks to the support of the amazing couples I have worked for, I was made a Regional Finalist at The Wedding Industry Awards for Cake Designer of the Year. I have also won Best Wedding Cakes (South-East London) at the Hitched Wedding Awards two years in a row.

I have worked alongside some incredible 5 star wedding venues such as The Langham, Mandarin Oriental, The Dorchester, Hedsor House and Hotel Cafe Royal to name a few. When you see the wedding cake designs in my portfolio, you will see why many couples choose my wedding cakes to serve at their luxurious venues.

To create a bespoke wedding cake for a couple is a great privilege and a very humbling experience. They allow me into their world and into a special time in their life that is only for a select few. This stirs in me a steely determination to give each couple my best. When I receive comments from couples about my professionalism, their cake design and its taste, it is such a great feeling!
